Tanjung Bira is also known as Pantai Bira, Bira Beach, or just simply "Bira". It's located about 200 km's south of Makassar, in the Bulukumba region, and is the most popular beach resort town in South Sulawesi. Tanjung Bira is famous for its white sand beach, crystal clear turquoise water and its awesome diving and snorkeling. Bira is also well known for its phinisi boat building industry.
